🤝 The Founding Team Behind The Empathy Atlas

(Reading time approximately 6–8 minutes)

Pieter Kramer
Founder | Creative Force | Emotional Architect
📍 🇱🇻 Latvia 🇳🇱 Born in Holland

Pieter is the visionary behind *The Empathy Atlas*, a platform that transforms emotional intelligence into global infrastructure. As its creative force and development lead, Pieter shapes the emotional architecture of the project—translating abstract ideas into immersive, meaningful experiences that connect people across cultures and beliefs. His journey defies convention. At 16, Pieter left high school, questioning the value of algebra and chemistry, though he found fascination in geography, history, and biology. A gifted athlete, he was selected for the regional football team of North Holland until a serious ankle injury ended his sporting path. At just 13, he stunned his peers by defeating the top player of his own high school’s first team in a local draughts tournament—playing from board one of the second team.

At 17, Pieter joined the Holland America Line as a waiter, expanding his worldview through travel and cultural exchange. He later spent three years in the offshore oil industry with Heerema Engineering, managing logistics as a chief storekeeper. His leadership skills flourished at Kwantum Hallen, where he rose to manage the company’s largest store in Beverwijk during its peak expansion. Pieter’s business acumen sharpened during five years at the Swiss institute Scheidegger, where he climbed from sales to assistant division manager—breaking every European record in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance. He left in 1995 when his salary was reduced for out-earning the Dutch director, marking the beginning of his independent career.

Since then, Pieter has left his mark in over 100 countries, founding and operating businesses in the Netherlands, Panama, Latvia, Antigua, UAE, Belize, and Luxembourg. Born and raised in Holland, he has lived in Spain, France, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Latvia, the USA, and now resides in the Philippines. Though officially retired five years ago, Pieter’s restless spirit and lifelong commitment to human connection led him to create his magnum opus: *The Empathy Bridge*. With a “never give up” mentality and decades of socially responsible leadership, Pieter is the perfect person to lead a project of this magnitude—one that seeks not just to build technology, but to build global unity, respect, and understanding.
